Party official meets with Central Highlands province’s voters

Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission of Mass Mobilization, together with a delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, on November 23 met with voters who are cadres and officers in Da Lat city, after the 10th session of the 14th NA.

During the meeting, Doan Van Viet, Head of the provincial delegation of NA deputies, informed the voters of the contents of the 10th session, including the activities of the province’s NA deputies. 

For their part, the voters gave proposals and made contributions on issues relating to social welfare and local economic development, including supporting the youth’s start-up, developing healthy lives for the youth, caring for the lives of ethnic minority people, boosting hi-tech sustainable agricultural production, improving traffic infrastructure, developing small hydroelectric plants, and accelerating the building of social housing for officers and labourers. 

On behalf of the provincial People’s Committee, Phan Van Da, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, explained voters’ suggestions and proposals on planning and developing small hydroelectric construction; carrying out traffic project to prevent traffic jam in Da Lat city; re-planning the glasshouse system to restrict the negative impact of glasshouse effect; and receiving voters’ contributions in terms of mechanisms for developing the agricultural production, rural areas and farmers. 

Addressing the meeting, Ms Mai explained voters’ concerns on the youth start-up, the Government policies on boosting agricultural production and building rural areas and farmers, the policies on using ethnic minority cadres, on developing hi-tech agriculture, and building infrastructure for agricultural production.

She also shared socio-economic development orientations with 3 targets and 3 breakthrough steps of the Party and State in the upcoming time, as well as policies to address population aging and to develop the fourth industrial revolution in Vietnam./.
