Party official urges Hung Yen to carry out breakthrough programs

Attending the 19th Hung Yen provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025 which opened on October 25, Tong Thi Phong, Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly suggested that in the new term, Hung Yen should carry out 3 breakthrough steps, including investment attraction, building of infrastructure and improvement of personnel work.

“The province should give priority to large-scale and hi-tech projects, supportive industrial and digital industrial sectors,” she said, stressing the need to restructure agricultural production by applying more advanced technologies into production; and encouraging enterprises to link together and seek consumption markets of agricultural products, especially foreign markets.
The political report submitted to the provincial Party Congress showed that in the 2015-2020 period, Hung Yen province realized a majority of criteria set in the last provincial Party Congress.
Over the past 5 years, it has boosted comprehensive socio-economic development and maintained rapid economic development, at an average of 8.38% per year.
In particular, 24 years after the province’s re-establishment, its budget collection has increased by nearly 200 times.
Hung Yen has become a destination for domestic and foreign investors, with 816 projects, an increase of 34.4% compared to the 2010-2015 period, while the export turnover has been reported to increase by 16.19% per year on average./.
