PM asks for suggestions to be received in National Party Congress draft documents

During the National Assembly’s discussion on the 13th National Party Congress draft documents on November 10, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his hope that the contributions would be received in the congress documents.

The Government leader stressed the need to renew working methods in the new term, especially policies to attract talented persons to important positions. Confirming that corruption prevention is accurate in the central level, he noted that localities had also been allocated diverse resources for the prevention. 

According to the Government leader, corruption prevention has been accelerated over the past years, in order to resume people’s trust in the Party, and he urged localities and ministries to strictly punish wrongdoings and prevent group interests. 

He emphasized the role of the National Assembly in inspecting and assessing cadres to deserve people’s trust.

Noting that open mechanisms would help open the door for development, he said that the target of turning the country into a developed one with high income would not be a simple task without determination. 

He expressed his expectation for the development of the 5G network and digital commerce.

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam is expected to report 50% of its population, or roughly 50 million people, being in the middle class by 2045. “What needs tackling for the nation’s stronger development should be included in the 13th National Party Congress draft documents for people to make proposals on,” he said. “Talented and whole-hearted persons must be used.”

“All the people must be responsible for raising Vietnam’s prestige in international cooperation, to deal with difficulties,” he said, adding that 100 million Vietnamese people must share a common will and determination in boosting national development./.
