Seven special working groups on COVID-19 prevention established

(CPV)- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed a document on the establishment of special working groups to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The official dispatch to the Ministers of Defense, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Construction, Information and Communications, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, stated that in order to provide timely and effective support and service for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern localities, the Prime Minister requested the Ministers to base themselves on their functions, assigned tasks and powers, immediately set up special working groups for COVID-19 prevention and control of each ministry in Ho Chi Minh City, directly being under the charge of a Deputy Minister to work closely with Ho Chi Minh City and southern localities, especially those implementing Directive 16/CT-TTg on social distancing, proactively handling and immediately solving arising tasks in the pandemic prevention and control and related problems.

The special working groups are responsible for sending daily reports to the Minister and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, promptly proposing and recommending matters beyond their authority.

Stressing that this is a very important and urgent task, the Prime Minister requested the Ministers to focus on directing the establishment of and  effectively promoting the role of the ministry's special working groups in pandemic prevention and control in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern localities./.
