The Olympiad was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Party Central Committee Commission of Popularization and Education, and Ministry of Education and Training.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, the First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Le Quoc Phong said that the Olympiad, first held in 2015, aims to promote the education of Marxism-Leninism philosophy and Ho Chi Minh thought, thus raising political awareness, fostering the revolutionary ideal for Youth Union members and school youth; creating a playground for youth union members and young people to exchange experiences in studying Marxist-Leninist philosophy and Ho Chi Minh thought; applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought on studying, working, life and self-training.
The Olympiad, organized from March to May, is divided into two tables of individual and team. The form of the Olympiad will include an online contest and a contest on stage.
All Vietnamese students studying at universities, institutes and colleges in and outside the country can register for the individual table and join the online contest at the website www.anhsangsoiduong.vn. For the team table, each province and city across the country will select a team with seven members to compete in local, regional and final rounds.
Nearly 4,000 questions have been added to the online test compared to the first Olympiad in all fields of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, Ho Chi Minh thought and economic, politic and social issues of the country, raising the total number of questions of the online contest to 5,824 questions.
The interface of the online contest has been redesigned with a modern, attractive, accessible and easy-to-use format. In addition, contestants may also easily engage using mobile devices.
