Exhibition of archives and publication of book on Vietnam – Laos special relations

(CPV) –Nearly 230 paper documents, 60 photos and 132 publications are on display at an exhibition which opened in Vientian on November 23.

The exhibtion offered the public the opportunity to access archival materials, learn and research the history of Vietnam - Laos relations; thereby serving the study of history, culture, policies and diplomacy, contributing to fostering and tightening the solidarity and relations between the two countries.
The event was held nu the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the State Department of Records and Archives of Vietnam in coordination with the National Archives of Laos.
The book is a collection of typical documents and photos selected from the archives of the State Archives and Records Administration of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Archives of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Deputy Director of the Department of State Records and Archives of Vietnam Tran Trung Kien and Director of the National Archives of Laos Thongchan Keosenhom shared information about the cooperation process between the two archives, especially the prepartations for the exhibition and book pubication.
Representative of the compilation group, Director of the National Archives Center III Tran Viet Hoa briefly introduced the compilation and main contents of the book./.
