Cinema lovers nationwide will have the chance to watch Japanese movies wherever they are through the Japanese Film Festival (JFF) Online, scheduled to get underway from June 5 to July 3.

This marks the third time the festival has been held in the country since 2020.
According to the organising board, the film festival will introduce a total of 21 feature films and two TV series, including KIBA: The Fangs of fiction directed by Yoshida Daihachi, Karakasa by Yamamoto Kenji, Wedding High by Ohku Akiko, Jungle Emperor by Yamamoto Eichi, Twenty-four Eyes by Kinoshita Keisuke, and BL Metamorphosis by Kariyama Shunsuke.
The films will represent a variety of genres, including comedy, musical, drama, romance, animation, and documentary.
All of them will be streamed for free with subtitles in up to 16 languages, available in up to 27 countries and regions.

The JFF which will open with the slogan ‘Japanese Film Anytime, Anywhere’ is a project held by the Japan Foundation in order to introduce a taste of the Japanese film industry, as well as the country's history, culture, and lifestyle to international audiences.
