Performances by Vietnamese artists and Indian dancers in southern Can Tho city

The Union of Friendship Organization of Can Tho City has coordinated with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to organize an art performance in the southern city of Can Tho to mark the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and India (1972).

The event featured performances staged by local artists and classical Indian dancers.
With six performances each lasting seven to 15 minutes, the Indian repertoire group excited audiences through Indian stories.
The event helps Vietnamese people gain a greater understanding of Indian culture and promote mutual understanding and the friendship between the two countries.
According to Madan Mohan Sethi, consul general of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the art programme is being held alongside a webinar on investment and trade promotion between India and Can Tho City, contributing to consolidating and boosting the traditional relations between the two countries.
The programme would help promote the effective cooperation that exists between Vietnamese and Indian partners, the Indian diplomat./.
