Thirteen projects selected for final round of Green Screen short film

Thirteen projects has been selected for the final round of the Green Screen short film contest on the environment, which was initiated by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA).

 The contest has attracted a large number of both professional and young filmmakers.

The jury selected 21 projects to proceed to the presentation round, with nine projects receiving support for a part of production costs.

The projects reflected different perspectives on the topic of environment and environmental protection through the vivid and realistic approach of the authors, reported NDO.

The entries are diverse in genres, including cartoons, documentaries and feature films. Most of the authors are students, many of whom came from Van Lang University, Hoa Sen University and the University of Theatre and Cinema.

The awards ceremony for the contest is scheduled for August 26-28 in the northern province of Quang Ninh. The first prize winner will be rewarded 100 million VND.

In addition, a wide variety of practical activities will be held on the occasion such as an exhibition entitled “Quang Ninh – an ideal destination for domestic and international film producers”, an exchange themed “Coming to Quang Ninh”, and various programmes to promote the province’s destinations./.
