Vietnamese sea and islands through postage stamps

(CPV) - After nearly 5 months of implementation (from December 2021 to the end of April 2022), the Organizing Committee of a stamp collecting contest on Vietnam’s seas and islands has received more than 1.1 million entries across the country.

The contest aimed to raise awareness on Vietnam’s seas and islands among the younger generation, as well as increase their responsibility in safeguarding the national sovereignty.

On June 13 in Hai Phong city, the Central Young Pioneers’ Association, the Vietnam Post Corporation and the Vietnam Stamp Association held awarding ceremony for the contest.

Le Hoang Nhat Nhi, a ninth grader at Vo Thi Sau School in Le Chan District, Hai Phong City, won the special prize of a stamp collecting contest on Vietnam’s seas and islands at an award ceremony held in Hai Phong City on June 13.

Winners of the competition honoured at the award ceremony.

At the ceremony, the organising board also presented 2 first, 4 second, 10 third and 20 consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries./.
