The exhibition is held in Kiev by the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Painters’ Association (UPA) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Ukraine (1992-2022).

It aims to provide an opportunity for the public to admire the beauty of Vietnam and Ukraine, he stated, affirming that cultural diplomacy is an effective way connecting countries and making the world become better.

UPA Konstantin Cherniavsky said that the works on displaywere among the entries sent to a contest launched in October 2021 by the embassy and the association. The contest received enthusiastic participation from Ukrainian painters.

For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach hailed that through their creativity and talent, Ukrainian painters told profound and poetic stories about the land and people of Vietnam, helping to foster mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

The exhibition will be open free of charge for the public until February 27 at the UPA’s headquarters in Kiev, and it will be then held in other major cities in Ukraine throughout the year./.
