An exhibition on 21 pieces of stones affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa Archipelago has opened at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi, as part of activities in July at the village.

These pieces of stones were donated to the Management of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism by the Vietnam Naval Force at the ceremony to receive pieces of stones on August 28th, 2011. This is a meaningful gift of soldiers with the community of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups at the village. The stones were collected on 21 islands of Truong Sa archipelago belonging to Vietnam’s territorial sovereignty.

The stones are on display together with national cultural products to show solidarity and association between soldiers and people.

This practical activity is held to respond the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Fallen and Wounded Soldiers’ Day (July 27th).
