Cai Rang floating market recreated in Hanoi

The Cai Rang floating market recreation which has been held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture, has impressed visitors.

It is an activity in the framework of a week to highlight Vietnamese ethnic groups' great solidarity, held at the Village from November 8th to 23rd to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23rd).

Le Minh Son, vice director of Can Tho City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the week to highlight Vietnamese ethnic groups' great solidarity drew the participation of 40 artists, artisans and mass forces. Mr. Son also hoped that the activity would help visitors understand more about Can Tho.

Dang Tan Hung, president of Can Tho City Tourism Association, said that Can Tho City has potential in natural and human tourism with modern tourism technical facilities. Visitors to Can Tho will experience life on the water when transported by boats and to see the active waterway trade. They also have an opportunity to enjoy traditional local foods.
