Concert "Hope" opens 2021 performing season

Vietnam Symphony Orchestra will hold a concert entitled "Hope" - the opening gala of the 2021 performing season on March 12 at the Hanoi Opera House.

The program will bring works and excerpts of works by Vietnamese and international composers expressing solidarity, optimism, faith and hope to overcome the challenges of COVID-19 pandemics, stable life and develop. These are the symphony "Hope" (Do Hong Quan), "Song my mother taught me" (Dvorak), "Intermezzo" in "Cavalleria Rusticana" (Mascagni), "Parigi o cara" in "La Traviata ”(Verdi), “Nessun Dorma ”in the opera“ Turandot ”(Puccini),“ Enigma Variations ”(Elgar).

The program is conducted by conductor Honna Tetsuji, with the participation of artists Bui Thi Trang (soprano), The Tung Lam (tenor) and artists of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra.

In the 2021 performing season, the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra will focus on performing live concerts on stage and online via Youtube, Facebook with many genres. This approach will be maintained even in the following years in order to introduce quality musical works by famous international and Vietnamese composers to the public.
