Culture week celebrates 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

A cultural week in celebration of the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi is taking place from October 3 to 11 at pedestrian streets near Hoan Kiem Lake and other areas in the city.

The event aims at creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people on the occasion of the anniversary; highlighting the long-term development orientation of Hanoi on the basis of history, culture and tradition of a thousand years; and demonstrates the will and aspirations of the Party Committee and the people of the Capital in the trend of international integration.
Accordingly, five arts performances will take place at the Flower Garden, four at Hanoi Drama Theatre, four at Thang Long Puppetry Theatre, eight at Bat Giac area. Performances are carefully prepared, stage many special and attractive repertoires, and will bring viewers impressive emotions.
Hanoi City Cultural Center coordinates with districts and towns to provide 51 free film screenings to the people of the capital at many locations, from now to October 20.
Films introduce Vietnamese revolutionary history, President Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi capital, and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. /.
