Exhibition on Vietnam cultural heritage space held in both in-person and virtual formats

An exhibition entitled “Vietnam cultural heritage space” is taking place at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts in Hanoi from November 22 to 27 to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

Mother Goddess worshipping ritual of Vietnamese people is also introduced at the event

The online version is available from November 24 to the end of December on websites of the centre at http://trienlamvhnt.vn and of the Department of Cultural Heritage at http://dsvh.gov.vn.

The event aims to introduce, promote and honour cultural values of Vietnam to people inside and outside the country, while helping raise public awareness and responsibility in preserving and developing the values.

Vietnamese intangible cultural heritages are introduced along with the traditional costumes and musical instruments used in the heritages, including the Culture Space of Gong in the Central Highlands, Bac Ninh love duet singing, and “Don ca tai tu” music and songs of southern Vietnam. Cultural heritages in different localities, along with their typical traditional handicraft products, cuisines and specialties are also displayed.

Especially, the Mother Goddess worshipping ritual of Vietnamese people is also introduced at the event.

The exhibition also has outdoor areas featuring products of traditional craft villages of the country./.
