The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a document to the People’s Committees of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang provinces on the development of a scientific record of Yen Tu monuments and landscapes to seek UNESCO recognition as World Heritage.

The nomination profile is built in accordance with the guidelines implemented by the World Heritage Convention. During the research process, if any criteria do not guarantee outstanding global value, they are not included in the dossier.

Accordingly, the name of the nomination dossier is Yen Tu Monuments and Landscape (Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong).

The document also noted the proposal to include Bach Dang historical site (Quang Ninh) in the nominated heritage area. It is necessary to clarify its relationship with the remaining monuments and prove its outstanding global value, integrity, authenticity, management and protection issues under the implementation guidelines of the World Heritage Convention.

The People's Committees of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang provinces are asked to urgently complete the summary report on Yen Tu Monuments and Landscape, in which Con Son – Kiep Bac (Hai Duong) Special Relics Site is added to the nominated heritage area./.
