Popularization and education sector strives to successfully realize 2021 tasks

(CPV) – Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education, has confirmed the work result of the popularization and education sector, asking it to continue to increase the quality and efficiency of work.

He made the statement on December 30 during a meeting to review the popularization and education work in 2020 and carry out the work in 2021.

Reports at the meeting confirmed that in 2020, the sector gave consultancy to the PCC Secretariat and Party organizations to fight COVID-19; and promptly and comprehensively disseminated the nation’s large political events, and socio-economic, national defence, security, external relations, sea and island sovereignty issues.

It also actively carried out activities to serve the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress, and to mark the nation’s big anniversaries, creating a joyful atmosphere in society, boosting political and ideological education, fostering people’s patriotism and national pride, and reinforcing people’s trust in the Party.

Praising the sector’s achievements in 2020, Vo Van Thuong urged the      sector, in 2021, to focus on disseminating and implementing the 13th National Party Congress resolution; renewing and increasing the quality of ideological and theoretical work, contributing to building a pure and strong Party; increasing the quality of consultancy in terms of education, training, science, technology, healthcare, population, sports and social issues. “The work aims to further reinforce people’s trust in the Party, State and regime; strengthen national solidarity; and encourage patriotic emulation for realizing political tasks in 2021, thus creating a firm foundation for socio-economic development in the 2021-2026 period,” he added./.
