It contributed to promoting the land, people, cultural identities and tourism potentials of Ca Mau Province as well as the local folk specialties to visitors from around the country.

The festival attracted the participation of more than 55,000 visitors.

The festival featured 85 pavilions, including 32 for folk cakes, 15 for products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme and local specialties, 14 for souvenirs, and 12 for cuisine. Performances of don ca tai tu (traditional musical art form of the south) especially delighted visitors and locals.

The highlights of this year’s festival were the southern folk cake competition, an ao ba ba (traditional shirt of the southern people) show, and the offering of cakes to Hung Kings at the Hung Kings Temple in Tan Phu Commune, Thoi Binh District.

On April 11, the team from Ca Mau City won first prize at the southern folk cake competition, followed by runners-up from Dam Doi District and Tran Van Thoi District./.
