The shipment marks the company’s most valuable contract so far amid the pandemic disrupting a series of production and supply chains, serving to affect multiple economic sectors, including the automobile industry.

This comes as part of the company’s contract with Dorsey Intermodal, a subsidiary of PITTS Enterprise which is one of 15 major semi-trailer manufacturers in the US.

The first shipment is scheduled to be delivered in November. In addition, THACO AUTO and Dorsey Intermodal are also continuing to negotiate new contracts for production and delivery ahead in the third and fourth quarters of next year.

Simultaneously, the company will also be resuming their development of suitable products and expanding the distribution market in the US in the near future.

In line with the plan, moving into 2022 THACO AUTO will export between 12,000 and 15,000 semi-trailers to the US market annually, while also striving to boost exports to both the Australian and Japanese markets.

Ed Gill, vice president of Sales at Dorsey Intermodal, said THACO AUTO's products are high quality and fully suit the needs of the US market, as well as meeting the traffic standards set within demanding market.

Most notably, THACO is fully equipped with a cutting-edge technological assembly line that is capable of meeting the US’ technical requirements, a key factor in Dorsey co-operating and placing larger orders with the company.

During the first half of the year, THACO AUTO exported over 350 cars and semi-trailers of all types, with the export value of mechanical components reaching 15 million USD.

This year, the company plans to make inroads into new markets in Europe, South America, South Asia, Australia, along with countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
