Agricultural exports via Mong Cai border gate soar sharply

In the first 10 days of March 2021, import and export activities at border gates in Mong Cai city continued to be active, in which agricultural exports increased sharply compared to the same period in 2020.

According to a report from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, from March 1 to 9, goods carried on 1,571 means of transport passed through Cau Phao Km 3 + 4 Hai Yen with 34,456 tons, including 34,446 tons exported and 10 tons imported.

At the Bac Luan 2 border gate, 1,130 means of transport carried 18,870 tons of goods for custom clearance, including 7,023 tons of export goods.

Notably, agricultural and aquatic products exported through the temporary Phao Bridge opening at Km3 + 4 Hai Yen, Mong Cai, soared compared to the same period last year. All import and export activities strictly followed regulations of COVID-19 prevention and control.

This is a very good signal in the context of many economic activities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and also showed the determination of Mong Cai city in promoting import and export activities, well implementing the dual target of pandemic prevention and socio-economic development./.
