Accordingly, the output of processed shrimp reached over 193,000 tons, exceeding the plan by 27%, up 31% over the same period. Export turnover reached 1.1 billion USD, with the majority being shrimp exports, a year-on-year increase of over 8%.

However, the output of industrial products mainly in the Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer cluster was lower than the year’s plan and decreased from the previous year. Specifically, electricity output reached nearly 56% of the plan, down nearly 33%; commercial gas output 73% of the plan, down nearly 77%; and liquefied gas output over 81% of the plan, down over 84%.

Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet said that in 2022, Ca Mau will focus on implementing strategic breakthrough solutions for investing and developing infrastructure systems, especially works and projects creating driving force for economic development.

The province will continue to implement solutions to resume and promote production, business and export; improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); and closely monitor the public investment plan./.
