Disbursement of State budget investment capital meets 51% of year’s plan

Implemented capital from the State budget in August 2021 reached an estimated 34.9 trillion VND, a decrease of 71% from the previous month and a reduction of 24.7% compared to the same period last year.

According to the General Statistics Office, in order to control the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, many localities have applied social distancing measures, affecting the implementation of public investment projects.
In Jan-Aug 2021, the disbursement of State budget investment capital reached 244.9 trillion VND, equivalent to 51.1% of the year’s plan and down 0.4% year on year.
Of the figure, 41.6 trillion VND was managed by the state sector, 49.6% of the year’s plan or up 5.5% year on year. The capital included 20.876 trillion VND by the Ministry of Transport, 2.174 trillion VND by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and 176 billion VND by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Locally-managed capital reached 203.3 trillion VND, equivalent to 51.5% of the year’s plan and down 1.6% year on year. The figure included 136.8 trillion VND of state budget capital at provincial level; 56 trillion VND at district level, and 10.5 trillion VND at communal level./.
