Fourth Vietnam Rice Festival to take place in Vinh Long in mid-December

The event is co-organised by the Vietnam Farmer’s Union, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the provincial People’s Committee.

It will include a wide range of activities, including a trade fair involving more than 600 businesses and units, workshops discussing legal framework and policies targeting agricultural cooperatives, support for rice growers, procession of rice products, and rural economy development.

Award ceremonies honouring outstanding logistics units whose operations have helped to lift Vietnamese rice brand and exemplary models who have made significant contributions to the development of collectives in Vietnam over the past two years will be organised on the occasion.

The annual festival aims to promote the rice supply and export capacity of localities in the Mekong Delta region and Vietnam in general to international friends.

It also seeks to help to support participating businesses and localities to advertise their products, increase their competitiveness and seek cooperation opportunities with domestic and foreign traders./.
