At the event, units introduced nearly 1,000 products licensed with OCOP certificate and over 2,000 products which are regional specialties.

According to the organizers, the event aims to carry out some contents and activities under the framework of realizing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in Hanoi in order to develop, replicate and spread all over the locality and country.

This is the basis to evaluate and draw experiences to complete the policy framework and management mechanism and direct the implementation of the OCOP program for the following years.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ta Van Tuong said that through the program, the organizers wished that specific products of each locality, which were connected and traded, would open many opportunities to access the supply source and seek markets, bringing many high-quality products for customers.

In the near future, Hanoi will increase trade promotion activities to bring OCOP products into supermarkets systems and stores.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Retailers Association Vu Thi Hau said this is the third time in 2020 the unit coordinated with departments and branches of Hanoi to organize events to connect trade of OCOP products. The connection is expected to bring practical results for participants and boost sustainable production development./.
