Nissan’s car production in Russia increases 17% in 2021

Nissan’s press release on January 17 said that the company’s plant in St. Petersburg, Russia has produced 45,040 cars in 2021.

According to the press release, Nissan produced 45,040 vehicles at the plant in St. Petersburg, an increase of 17% compared to 2020.

In 2021, the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg produced and finished 22,156 Nissan Qashqai crossovers, the brand's best-selling vehicle in the Russian market.

In terms of total production volume, this model has surpassed 2020’s figure by 17%. The second largest production and sales volume belongs to the Nissan X-Trail crossover, with 20,312 vehicles assembled at the Nissan plant in Russia, up 18% from the previous year. Also in the Top 3 crossover, Nissan Murano was produced with 2,572 units, up 20% against 2020.

The workforce at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg is around 2,000 people./.
