Saigon Co.op develops network and new models in 2018

In 2018, Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co.op) strives to achieve a 10% rise in revenue from the previous year, and will expand and develop new business network to better serve customers.

These targets were revealed in a conference summarizing tasks in 2017 and setting orientation for 2018 held on April 5th.

Accordingly, it earned revenue of nearly VND30 trillion in 2017 and Co.opXtra achieved export growth of about 30%. Some 130 new selling places, including Co.opmart, Sense City, Co.op Smile, and Co.op Food were successfully developed.  

Saigon Co.op also expanded Co.op Food network to big provinces and cities with 16 stores and launched two new models, Sense Market and Cheers convenience stores.

This year, the retailer is developing and establishing new business models with 19 Co.opmart supermarkets, two Co.opXtra supermarkets, 170 Co.op Food supermarkets, 150 Co.opSmile stores, 50 Cheer convenient stores, and one Co.opmart high-end segment (Finelife).

In addition, it focuses on building green business in accordance with friendly-environmental criteria, green brand, promoting exploitation and business of organic products, and implementing the application of information technology to management./.
