An online conference to promote Thai investment in the southern province of Binh Duong has been held with the participation of more than 100 investors.

Director of the Binh Duong Department of Foreign Affairs Le Phu Hoa said that so far, Thailand has been the 9th largest investor among 141 countries and territories pouring capital into Vietnam with more than 369 projects, capitalized with 13 billion USD.
In Binh Duong, Thailand is now ranked 13th out of 65 countries and territories with 40 projects, capitalized with more than 685 million USD; including many large enterprises such as Srithai Vietnam, SCG Vietnam, Kraft Vina Paper Co., Ltd (belonging to SCG Group), KSP Vietnam Co., Ltd (belonging to CP Group), Red Bull Vietnam Co., Ltd., and BJC Vietnam.
At the event, a representative of Becamex IDC Corporation introduced projects under development to meet the investment needs of businesses; especially the construction progress of the Science and Technology Industrial Park and World Trade Center EXPO Binh Duong New City; building transport infrastructure connecting with the region and logistics system; and training high-quality labor resources.
Meanwhile, representatives of leaders of Binh Duong’s departments, agencies and sectors introduced the investment environment of the province; discussed, shared, answered and gave satisfactory answers to the issues that Thai businesses are currently concerned about, especially priority areas for development in industry and commerce, services and urban development.
Committed to investors, a representative of Binh Duong affirmed that the provincial government will create many advantages for businesses, including Thai firms, to invest and operate effectively in Binh Duong./.
