Vietnam, RoK enhance agricultural cooperation

Accordingly, the documents include a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on building a vision for medium and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and RoK in the agricultural sector in the 2021-2025 period and discussion minutes on training program for Vietnam National University of Agriculture to strengthen human resources in the livestock industry.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said that after nearly 30 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and the RoK have elevated the relationship to the level of a strategic partnership and have achieved remarkable development in many fields such as trade, investment, culture, education and agriculture and rural development.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Doanh said that building a vision of medium and long-term cooperation between the two countries for the agricultural sector is very practical to promote agricultural cooperation.

With the discussion minutes, he said that this field still has great potential and room for development.

According to statistics, RoK has become the largest investor in Vietnam, with more than 9,000 investment projects and total accumulated investment capital of nearly 72 billion USD. Regarding trade, Rok is Vietnam’s third largest trading partner, with two-way trade turnover of 66 billion USD in 2020./.
