Vietnam secured the first place at the world Vietnamese traditional martial arts championships after four days of competitions at Phu Tho Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City.

A requiem and ceremony to inaugurate a monument to the martyrs who were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers’ of Front 479, stationed in Cambodia, were solemnly held in Bo De pagoda, Long Bien district, Hanoi.

To mark the 69th year of the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs, a delegation of the Party Central Committee, State President, National Assembly, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front on July 27th laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial to commemorate heroic martyrs, and paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh.
Agriculture, forestry and fishery exports bag USD17.8 billion

Export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in July was estimated to reach USD2.64 billion, bringing the total figure for the first seven months this year to USD17.8 billion, up 5.1% over a year earlier, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Tran Dai Quang was re-elected as President of Vietnam for the 2016 - 2021 tenure during a plenum of the 14th National Assembly (NA)’s first session on July 25th.

In the framework of the activities to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the National War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th), the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine on July 25th organized a ceremony to receive donations of the Vietnamese community in the country to support building of monument for soldiers sacrificed on Gac Ma island.
