Dien Bien presents 6 Lao provinces medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention

With a capital of over VND600 million, the Provincial Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control presented 32,000 medical masks, 200 bottles of antiseptic solution and 300 protective suits to each of the 6 Lao provinces.

Over the past time, the pandemic has become more complicated in 6 northern Lao provinces, with a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases. Meanwhile, the provinces face a serious shortage of medical equipment and materials. Therefore, the support of medical supplies from Dien Bien Province is not only about sharing difficulties, encouraging and supporting the pandemic prevention work for the northern Lao provinces, but it also shows the spirit of solidarity, friendship and international cooperation between the two sides.

Receiving the medical supplies, Lao province’s leaders expressed their thanks to Dien Bien Province; adding that they hoped in the coming time, northern Lao provinces and Dien Bien would strengthen cooperation and friendship in all fields, and unite in fighting COVID-19, in order to deepen the bilateral relationship in the new situation./.
