DPRK: Relationship with Vietnam is a one of a kind strategic comradeship

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on July 8 highlighted the importance of the comradeship and strategic relationship with Vietnam, on the occasion of commemorating the summit between the two countries’ leaders some 6 decades ago.

In its official website, the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam had developed into a strategic comrade relationship which is one of a kind today.

It also stated that the two countries’ relationship will be raised to a new height in the future due to the profound benefit of the leaders and Parties of the two countries.

The founder of the DPRK State, late President Kim Il-sung, visited Vietnam in 1958 and 1964, and had talks with Vietnamese leader, President Ho Chi Minh.

The current DPRK leader visited Vietnam in 2019 during the 2nd Summit with US President at that time, Donald Trump, becoming the first DPRK leader visiting Vietnam in the past 55 years, since the visit by President Kim Il-sung.
