So said Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, during his reception on June 6th for Enrico Letta, former Italian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Italy - ASEAN Association and Head of the delegation of Italian businesses on a working visit to Hanoi.

During the reception, Mr. Enrico Letta said that the 3rd high ranking dialogue on Italy - ASEAN economic relations, held in Hanoi on June 6th, showed both the Vietnamese capital’s commitments to international businesses and its increasingly high prestige and role.

He expressed his confidence that with its set development strategies, Hanoi would gain more achievements in all areas, especially in economics, and that Italy would continue to be an important partner of the Vietnamese capital.

According to the Chairman, putting residents and businesses at the center, Hanoi has continuously expanded cooperation with foreign businesses, especially European businesses.

“To serve the city development strategies, Hanoi hopes to cooperate and exchange experience with Italian businesses in cultural relics preservation, pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, and training of human resources in fashion, as well as architecture and urban areas,” said Mr. Chung.

He also confirmed that the dialogue was an event gathering the largest number of Italian businesses so far, and would open up diverse cooperation opportunities for ASEAN and Italian businesses as well./.
