In recent years, the Netherlands has become the largest market for Vietnamese exports in the EU, with turnover increasing steadily every year. The Dutch market has always been considered a gateway and one of the hubs for transshipment of goods to the European market, helping to connect ports and industrial parks with Europe, as a significant portion of Vietnamese exports to the Netherlands go to other European countries.

In 2020, in spite of the serious impact of COVID-19, the import-export turnover of Vietnam to the Netherlands increased compared to the same period in 2019, reaching USD7.65 billion, an increase of 1.52% compared to the same period in 2019.

In the first two months of 2021, two-way import and export turnover reached USD1.28 billion, up 18.66% over the same period in 2020. Export value from Vietnam to the Netherlands reached USD1.19 billion, an increase of 20.4%, with the main export items being electronic components, phones, computers, textiles, shoes, bags, cashew nuts and seafood./.
