Vietnam – Hungary relationship increasingly developed

Addressing the anniversary, Vice Chairman of the city’s Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association Nguyen Quang Vinh said that over the past 70 years, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Hungary has developed well in all areas, including diplomacy, economics, science, technology, education and training, culture, sports and tourism. “In recent years, the Hungarian Government gives support of 200 scholarships each year to Vietnamese students,” he added.

To welcome the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties, Vietnam and Hungary have promoted comprehensive cooperation in all areas, from politics, economics – trade, science – technology, culture, sports, tourism, education and training, finance, agriculture, water management and national defence.

At the local level, Ho Chi Minh city and Hungary’s capital Budapest signed a deal of cooperation in 2018, while Ho Chi Minh city’s district 1 has twinned with Budapest’s district 11.

Attending the anniversary, Hungarian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh city Szojka Éva Szivia expressed his thanks to the city’s Union of Friendship Organizations and the city’s Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association for organizing the event, highlighting the development of the bilateral relationship by its advance to strategic partnership in 2018.

According to the Hungarian Consul General, in Ho Chi Minh city, Hungary is making efforts to increase and expand cooperation in economics, education, culture, innovation, tourism and diplomacy./.
