Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang offered congratulations on the success of the 13th National Party Congress; congratulated Vo Van Thuong on being elected permanent member of the PCC Secretariat; and congratulated Vietnam on the great, comprehensive and historic achievements it has made in recent years; expressing his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will continue to gain more and more great new achievements in the renewal process.
He also expressed his pleasure about the growing and deepening special relationship between Laos and Vietnam; thanking the Vietnamese Party, State and people for giving the Party, State and people of Laos great help and goodwill.
PCC Secretariat permanent member Vo Van Thuong thanked Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang for his congratulation and good assessment on him personally, as well as on the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, expressing his belief that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the process of national renewal, protection and construction.
Affirming that Vietnam will protect, preserve and nurture the relationship between Vietnam and Laos, he paid his regards to the Party, State and people of Laos concerning the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that he trusted that, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao Government, the unity the entire political system, and the consensus of the entire people, Laos will successfully prevent the spread of the pandemic for ensuring the implementation of socio-economic development tasks.
He also asserted that with the special tradition of solidarity between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples, Vietnam is willing to share and support its conditions and capabilities to help Laos overcome difficulties in preventing and combating COVID-19.
Highly appreciating the important role of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, he said he wished the Embassy to continue to be a bridge for the ministries, branches and localities of the two sides to strengthen cooperation./.
