Capital city ensures absolute security for important political events

(CPV) – A meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son on December 15 to boost collaboration between the city and armed forces in 2021 and 2022.

From 2019 to 2020, Hanoi High Command, Hanoi Capital Police, the Hanoi public security and military units strictly maintained patrol, guard and protection of security for anniversaries and important political events taking place; regularly maintained 1,736 mass mobilization groups and working teams, and means of propaganda to perform tasks.

In addition, the Hanoi Capital Command and military units mobilized 1,660 vehicles and 16,673 officers and soldiers to participate in overcoming the consequences of 351 natural disasters, explosions, fires and forest fires and flooding; restored and repaired 179 cemeteries and martyrs memorials with the amount of over VND13.8 billion; and gave medical checks-up, gifts and medicine to more than 51,000 beneficiaries with VND7 billion.

In the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hanoi Capital Command has received and transported over 24,000 citizens upon entry to Noi Bai International Airport and suspected cases to isolated areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the city People's Committee Le Hong Son suggested that medical agencies and authorities should continue to collaborate well with each other to carry out protection of political security and social order in the city.

Noting that in 2021, the city will organize diverse important political events, he urged military agencies to successfully ensure security for the 13th National Party Congress, and the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels term 2021-2026; and join the efforts in mitigating the consequences of natural disasters, fires, rescue work and construction collapse.

For traffic safety, he urged military agencies to increase the dissemination of laws for city residents to obey./.
