Hanoi Party Committee donates to help Central region’s residents

(CPV) - In the afternoon of October 21, the Hanoi Party Committee organized an event to raise funds to support residents in the Central region seriously affected by floods.

The event had the participation of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Deputy delegation of Hanoi city; Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, and many other leaders and staff from the Hanoi Party Committee.

At the event, the organizers collected nearly 180 million VND.

In recent days, many movements have been organized by agencies, units and organizations in Hanoi to join hands to support flood victims in the Central region.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi donated 7 billion VND to support 5 Central provinces to overcome the floods.

In addition, delegates attending the 17th Hanoi Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term raised over 300 million VND to help the Central region.

On October 20 and 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi received 22 billion VND collected from agencies, units, localities and individuals in the capital.

Apart from that, agencies, units, localities, cadres and people in Hanoi have also organized various charity activities such as charity trips to the Central region to deliver gifts, packing “Chung” cake as well as support goods and water filters.

On the same day, the Hanoi Party Committee also issued Official Dispatch 02-CV/TU calling Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city, socio-political organization, departments, sectors, cadres, Party members and people of all classes in Hanoi to join hands to support flood victims in the Central region to help them soon overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives./.
