Hanoi receives over 2.3 billion VND for COVID-19 vaccine

(CPV) - An event was organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city on July 15 to receive 2.3 billion VND of donations to buy COVID-19 vaccine.

The donations come from four units and organizations: Hanoi Youth Union, Liaison Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Hanoi, Garment 10 Corporation, and Vien Minh Phu Xuyen Communal House.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Sy Truong thanked and expressed deep gratitude to organizations, businesses and benefactors who have joined hands to support the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control and vaccine purchase of the city. That valuable contribution demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and faith for the city and the country to overcome difficulties and defeat the pandemic.

In order to continue to maintain the goal of both effective COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control and economic development, Mr. Truong wished that the people actively participate in responding to the vaccination program against COVID-19 to protect the health of themselves and the community; and continue to contribute, join hands and share with the city to have enough resources to deploy the vaccination program to soon reach the threshold of herd immunity, bringing life back to a new normal situation.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi commits that all donations are closely monitored, managed, and used openly, transparently and in accordance with the law./.
