Hanoi accelerates progress of projects on relic restoration and embellishment

(CPV) - The Steering Committee on investment and upgrade implementation of national-standard public schools, upgrading the health system, and restoring and embellishing relics in the 2022-2025 period and the following years of Hanoi, on August 4 held a conference to implement a number of key tasks.

In Resolution No. 02/NQ-HDND on April 8, 2022 of the Hanoi Municipal People's Council on building investment and renovating national standard public schools, upgrading the health system, and restoring and embellishing relics in the period of 2022-2025 and the following years, planned investment in the three fields is 49,203 billion VND in 1,469 projects.
In which, the education sector will be invested nearly 21 trillion VND in 653 projects; the health sector is more than 14 trillion VND in 237 projects; and the relic sector is more than 14 trillion VND in 579 projects.
So far, the city has allocated capital in 2021-2022 of more than 11,291 billion VND to implement projects in the three fields. In which, 1,204.202 billion VND has been arranged to implement 20 city-level projects. 216 city-level projects don’t have enough procedures to qualify for capital allocation. The Department of Planning and Investment is coordinating with the Departments of Education and Training, Health, Culture and Sports to review and propose plans to speed up the implementation of investment procedures and project proposals.
In addition, the city has also supported the districts and towns with 10,087.1 billion VND to implement 596 projects under the plan in the three areas; currently, there are 637 district-level projects that do not have enough procedures to qualify for capital allocation.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Council, asked the assisting group of the Steering Committee to complete the operational regulation draft and establish a working group; and asked the districts and towns to soon establish the Steering Committee to accelerate the projects and adding that departments, sectors and localities regularly review, summarize and update reports on progress for easy monitoring and direction./.
