Hanoi authority pledges continued assistance for Aeon Mall Vietnam's projects

At the meeting, Mr. Nakagawa Tetsuyuki thanked the city government for the support and facilitation for the Group's projects and activities over the past time.

Regarding the operation of Aeon Mall Vietnam, he said that the Group has been aiming to implement outstanding projects in Vietnam, in the direction of effectively developing the two existing centers in Hanoi.

In addition, within the framework of the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relations, in February 2023, Aeon Mall Hue was started, expected to be inaugurated in 2024. At the same time, the Group will continue to start projects in Dong Nai, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang.

In Hanoi, Aeon Mall Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation to expand and build more commercial centers in Hoang Mai, Bac Tu Liem and some other districts.

Mr. Nakagawa Tetsuyuki shared that Aeon Mall Vietnam's goal is to have 4 shopping centers in Hanoi by 2026 and more by 2030. He also shared some difficulties in investment research and search for locations, expressing his hope to continue receiving support from the Hanoi government for the Group to pursue its investment mission in the capital.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh highly appreciated the presence of the Aeon Mall chain in Hanoi, which he said has contributed to bringing high quality products to the people of the capital, and to the development of the city retail market. He also welcomed the determination and efforts to complete the network expansion projects of Aeon Mall in Hanoi in particular, and in Vietnam in general./.
