Hanoi beautiful voice contest 2022 starts

The event is held by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Hanoi Music Association, Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

354 contestants registered to participate in the contest. The number of candidates who have been trained at art schools, or are working in theaters and professional art troupes accounts for about 65%. The remaining candidates are living or      studying in the capital.

The jury of the contest includes People's Artist Quang Vinh, Chairman of Hanoi Music Association; People's Artist Thanh Hoa; and Outstanding artist Mai Hoa. In addition, this year's contest also has guest judges who are famous artists and singers such as Hong Nhung, Duc Tuan, Le Anh Dung, Ngoc Anh and journalist Ha Son.

On the first day of the preliminary round, hundreds of contestants came to compete and watch other vocalists. Candidates sing a song or a part of a song of their choice in Vietnamese without accompaniment, expressing their musical personality.

The preliminary round will take place until the end of September 14. Through the preliminary round, the jury selected 40-50 contestants to enter the semi-finals, which is scheduled to be held on September 20, 21, and 22 at the Workers' Theater. The finale is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on the evening of October 11./.
