(CPV) - The number of international and domestic tourists in July 2022 continued to grow over the same period last year, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

Accordingly, tourists to the capital numbered 1.94 million in July, including 1.8 million domestic tourists and about 141,000 international tourists. Total revenue from tourists was estimated at 6.15 trillion VND.
With a sharp increase in the number of tourists since fully opening up, in the first 7 months of the year, tourist arrivals to Hanoi totalled 10.62 million, a 3.6 fold-increase year on year. Of this, foreign tourist arrivals were 425,900 while domestic tourist arrivals were 10.2 million, a 3.5-fold increase year on year.
Total tourism revenue is estimated at 31.9 trillion VND, a 3.9-fold rise year on year.
In terms of accommodation, as of July 2022, the average occupancy rate of 1- to 5-star hotels is estimated at 41.7%, up 17.8% year on year. In the first seven months of 2022, the average occupancy rate of the hotel sector is estimated at 31.7%, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%.
Currently, Hanoi has 26 food service establishments, 34 shopping service establishments, 8 entertainment business establishments, and 1 sports service business establishment recognized to meet standards for serving tourists./.
