(CPV) - Total tourists to Hanoi numbered 1.51 million in October 2022, in which foreign tourist arrivals reached about 212.760, according to the city Department of Tourism.

In Jan-Oct 2022, the number of tourists to the capital was estimated at 15.38 million, a 5-fold increase compared to the same period last year. That included nearly 983,000 foreign tourists, nearly fulfilling the year’s target. Earlier, Hanoi aimed to receive about 1-1.2 million international tourists in 2022.
Total domestic tourists in the 10 months reached 14.4 million, up nearly five-fold.Tourism revenue is estimated at 43.69 trillion VND (over 1.7 billion USD), increasing over five times year on year.
In October 2022, the average occupancy rate of hotels in Hanoi was estimated at 43.8%, up 1% over the previous month and 26.7% over the same period last year. In the 10 months of the year, the rate reached 35%, up 14.1% over the same period last year.
The capital now has 27 food service businesses, 35 shopping service businesses, 9 entertainment businesses, and 1 sports service business recognized as standard establishments for tourists./.
