Vietnamese and Russian capitals exchange experience in crime prevention

Welcoming the delegation were Lieutenant General O.A Baranov, General Department Director; Major General I.V Zinoviev, General Department Deputy Director, and members of the department.

At the meeting, the two sides highly appreciated the development of the traditional good friendship between the two countries Vietnam - Russia through historical periods; in which, the relationship between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is also very close.

Lieutenant General O.A Baranov introduced the model of the Moscow City Police agency and functional departments of the General Department of the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs of Russia in Moscow, the situation of Vietnamese living and doing business in Moscow, and at the same time exchanged the results of the fight against crime in 2022.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung said that the Government and people of Vietnam attach great importance to the solidarity and great and precious support of the Russian Federation for the construction and defense of the Fatherland of Vietnam. Emphasizing the good relationship between the two countries and between Hanoi and Moscow, he expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two capitals will further strengthen their cooperative relations and reap many impressive results.

The two sides also agreed to strengthen learning activities and delegation exchange to promote deeper cooperation and share more experiences on warning and preventing crimes, especially new kinds of crime, high-tech crime, transnational crime; and support the Hanoi Public Security in training on ensuring cyber security, administrative management and social order, as well as best protection for citizens of the two countries living, studying and working in the two cities.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation came to lay flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square in Moscow; visited and learnt from experiences at a number of functional units of the General Department of the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs of Russia in Moscow.

At the invitation of the Director of the Hanoi City Public Security, in May 2023, Lieutenant General O.A Baranov and the delegation of the General Department of the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs of Russia in Moscow will visit Hanoi to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two sides./.
