More than 3,300 health workers, and students of medical schools are present in the southern metropolis that is now the country’s biggest pandemic hotspot.

The ministry will also establish 24 working groups to support the city in the fight.

The southern metropolis has been placed under social distancing in accordance with the Government's Directive No. 15/CT-TTg from May 31.

However, the daily infections keep on rising, particularly in recent days, prompting the city to have decided to apply stricter social distancing rules under the Government’s Directive No. 16 for 15 days, starting from July 9./.
