He made the statement during his reception for out-going Israeli Ambassador Nadav Eshcar on May 11.

According to Secretary Nen, Ambassador Nadav Eshcar had the initiative of a cultural and historical project in Ho Chi Minh City; accordingly, an exhibition about the meeting and relationship between President Ho Chi Minh and the Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, the two leaders of Vietnam and Israel, will be held late this month at the Ho Chi Minh Museum to introduce to the public this historical story. “During his tenure, Ambassador Nadav Eshcar implemented the Startup Accelerator Program for Vietnamese and Israeli young people,” he said, adding that the Ho Chi Minh City authority highly appreciates the startup program being transferred by Israel to the young Vietnamese generation for activating the entrepreneurial spirit of the young generation.

In terms of education, Israel and Ho Chi Minh City have also carried out very successful cooperation, especially in the field of agricultural education. Every year, Israel welcomes about 150 students from Ho Chi Minh City to study hi-tech agriculture, and there has been coordination, sharing and support between companies, businesses and universities of the two countries. Israel also wants to support the next direction of cooperation related to the smart city project of Ho Chi Minh City, where there are 2 seaports and many infrastructure works that need to be developed in the future.

According to Secretary Nen, the imprints left by Ambassador Nadav Eshcar in various fields during the past 5 years have contributed to deepening and quality cooperation between the two sides. “The city authority highly appreciates Israel's methods of transfer, transmission and support for cooperation projects in transferring technology, biotechnology, innovative technology, agriculture and education between the two sides,” he went on to say.

Ambassador Nadav Eshcar pledged that, after the end of his term, regardless of position, he would continue to use his influence and experience to promote cooperation in many fields between the two sides, expressing his belief that the cooperation between the two sides would develop to a new height./.
