Ho Chi Minh city sets up policy advisory group on epidemic prevention and economic recovery

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong has just signed a decision to establish an advisory group for policies on epidemic prevention and economic recovery in the city.

The advisory group consists of 8 members led by Dr. Vu Thanh Tu Anh from Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, Fulbright University Vietnam. The deputy head is Dr. Truong Minh Huy Vu from Software Technology Park, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.
On the basis of the developments of the COVID-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City, the advisory group has the task of actively researching and proposing specific solutions and measures to the Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee to lead and direct efforts for epidemic prevention and control and production recovery, contributing to the realization of the “dual goals”.
The advisory group will be invited to attend meetings of the HCM City Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control (offline or online) and attend some necessary meetings on epidemic prevention and control and economic recovery.
It is also provided with information related to the epidemic situation and coordinates with the Data Analysis Center of HCM City to standardize data and perfect the data system related to epidemic prevention and control./.
