Section of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway to be expanded to 8-10 lanes

The Ministry of Transport has asked Cuu Long Corporation to complete a pre-feasibility study on investing and expanding the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway project at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2020.

As scheduled, in the 2021-2030 period, the expressway will be expanded to 8-10 lanes from An Phu to Long Thanh, while the section from Long Thanh to Dau Giay will keep 4 lanes.
The project has a total investment of more than VND9.85 trillion. It can be franchised to collect fees to pay back investment.
The ministry asked relevant units to coordinate with localities to study and pay attention to pouring capital into overhead roads in the case of not allowing the expansion of land fund from Ho Chi Minh city to Long Thanh international airport.
According to the ministry, the early completion of investing in the project will help localities determine the land scheme for the expressway, and is the foundation for the ministry to put it into the medium-term investment plan for the 2021-2025 period./.
