He made the statement at the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the company and the Ho Chi Minh City Finance and Investment State-owned Company (HFIC) on February 23.

The waste-to-energy project, which has a capacity of 1,000 tons per day and will use a total investment of VND3 trillion, is located in Cu Chi District.

According to Mr. Huynh Minh Nhut, Citenco uses the most modern technology to ensure environmental sanitation: “The current Germany burning technology will handle all household waste in the city before producing a large amount of electricity to be connected to the national grid and provide electricity for daily life again,” he said.

The cooperation between Citenco and HFIC aims to coordinate the implementation of 6 projects in the urban environment sector in the city, including the waste-to-energy project. Thereby, the cooperation will help maximize the value of resources from waste, contributing to promoting a green economy and a circular economy, towards the goal of sustainable development.

These projects will be implemented in the next 5 years, with over 50% of capital from HFIC and the rest being mobilized from domestic and foreign sources./.
